The Green community is mourning the tragic loss of Austin Bianco, who died following a motorcycle crash on April 7.
According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. Tuesday along South Arlington Road in Green. Deputies reported that a 2021 Ford Explorer traveling north attempted to make a left turn into an apartment complex when it crossed into the path of a southbound 2007 Yamaha motorcycle operated by Austin.
The motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the SUV as it was turning. The force of the crash ejected Austin from the motorcycle, leaving witnesses and first responders facing a devastating scene. Emergency crews from the Green Fire Department quickly responded and transported him to Summa Health Akron for treatment. Despite the efforts of emergency personnel and medical staff, Austin was later pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed that Austin was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the Ford Explorer did not suffer serious injuries.
News of Austin’s death has left family, friends, and community members heartbroken. Those who knew him describe him as a kind and caring young man with a deep love for life.
